How Emu's arrival pits Somers and Killingham against Zoro and Sanji

Nerona Emu made her debut in Elbaf Arc in chapter 1179 of the story, and in the following chapter, she finally revealed her full abilities. With a fraction of his power, Emu was able to completely destroy Zoro in battle, and immediately, he used an ability called 'Omen' to bring Saint Somers back, preventing his death in the process. Then, Emu flew over to Sanji's location and engulfed him completely with his own flames.

Using the power of the 'Omen', Emu was even able to bring Saint Killingham back, and now, the two are fully revived. One Piece Chapter 1180 also ensured that both Sommers and Killingham are not only at their peak, but beyond, now that Imu has arrived. His mere presence has made them extremely strong, making them the ultimate opponents for Zoro and Sanji to face here in battle.

Breaking the new powers of the Holy Knights in Elbaf

The Holy Knights, especially St. Killingham and Somers, have already shown many powerful abilities, and among them are their unique abilities that stem from their deep bond with Emu. Their powers are directly linked to Emu's, his presence in Elbaf makes them much stronger. In other words, Zoro and Sanji need to unlock their full potential and prepare in this arc, and this matchup against St. Killingham and Somers is going to be important in that regard. Eiichiro Oda already outlined the power-ups for Zoro and Sanji in this particular arc. For Zoro, the goal is to refine his Conqueror's Haki to a level where he can use it consciously. By consciously controlling his powers, he can refine his overall strength and become strong enough to defeat the likes of Admirals and Yonko of the One Piece World.

For Sanji, the power-up will awaken his conqueror's Haki in the first place and fully embody the role he played for Roger as part of Scopper Gaban Roger's pirates. Sanji is already incredibly powerful, but he needs to take his overall power to the next level by awakening the colors of the Supreme King. This will all be perfectly established in the battle against the Holy Knights, whose only weakness is Supreme King Haki in the first place.
