Last year, Pokemon launched a collection of plushes that were actually Ditto disguised as various other Pokemon. Ditto is a bigger deal than it used to be, so it only makes sense that its collection of converted Pokemon Pluses keeps getting bigger.
Six more converted Ditto Pluses have been revealed
That's exactly what will happen with the release of six new plushes revealed by the Pokemon Company. Some very new Pokémon will join the Ditto Collection when the range officially expands on July 9, 2026, as the Transformed Ditto Collection already has over 40 plushes, most of which are Pokémon transforming themselves as they were created from previous generations.
Special attention has been paid to Gen 1 so far. Not like Pokemon merch, I know.
In fact, there is nothing in this new team of six that was introduced before Gen 4. Spiritomb is the oldest Pokemon in this new batch, followed by Zorua and then its Hisuian form. The other three are all Pokémon that were introduced during the two most recent generations, the upcoming Gen 10. No, unfortunately, there's still no Pombon plush, disguised as Ditto or otherwise, but I promise I'll let you know as soon as I find the first one. You know, once I save mine, of course.
Join the Ditto Plush collection of Sobble and Sprigatito Pokemon
Sobble is reintroducing the Gen 8 starters, while Sprigatito, the Pokémon that's clearly seen as the next generation's Pikachu, is here to fly Paldea's colors alongside Ogerpon. Ogerpon is such a new addition that I thought this might be its first-push. Turns out I was wrong. It has surpassed many older Pokemon and already has six plushes to its name. Its converted Ditto toys will soon make it seven.
There is some bad news – as usual, these plushes will be available exclusively in Japan when they are released next week. This is almost always the case with Pokemon plushes, but in this case there's a pretty thick silver lining. While you can't know for sure until it happens, these six new Ditto forms will almost certainly roll out globally in the near future.
There are a couple of reasons for this. One, Ditto is a big thing in the world right now, so these plushies are going to sell well everywhere. The main reason you can expect these to eventually show up in the US and elsewhere, however, is the fact that all other converted Ditto Pluses in the collection are available outside of Japan. If you can't wait until then, you can order them through Mecha Japan when they're available, or take a trip to Japan and pop some of them into a clear plastic plushie gel made into new Pokemon stuff that you can pick up while you're there too.
