There are few things that can give you a dopamine rush like opening a new pack of Pokemon TCG cards. So much so that they literally made a game out of it that makes a lot of money. Of course, that's still nothing compared to the real thing, especially if you have the opportunity to open 1,500 packs a day.

Pokemon TCG Pocket has turned me into a conspiracy theorist
What does that pokemon trading card game pocket pack weigh, huh?
That's exactly what happened at the celebration event for the launch of the Pokemon TCG's Scarlet and Violet: Surging Sparks expansion sets. 20,000 cards were unboxed live-streamed, setting a new Guinness World Record.
That's a lot of Pokemon packs to open in one day
The special live stream featured prominent Pokemon content creators like Serebii, Mayplaystv, and Joe Merrick of PokeGirlRach, who opened a total of 1,500 Pokemon TCG packs in 24 hours (thanks, VGC). Opened packs will be donated to UK-based children's charities, including Barnardo's.
“It's been an incredible 24 hours since the pack opening, and we're thrilled to be working with an amazing team of content creators to achieve such an ambitious Guinness World Records title,” said Peter Murphy, Senior Director of Marketing, The Pokemon Company International.
As for Pokemon TCG Pocket, the game has been going from strength to strength since its launch. Although it perfectly recreates the joy and excitement of opening a new pack of TCG cards, fans are still not sure if their choices in choosing expansion types really matter.
Many claim that picking a pack from the carousel doesn't really matter, because if you get a new pack, the cards will be the same. It doesn't help that The Pokemon Company International has been pretty quiet on this. However, fans have delved into the game's code to suggest that your choices don't matter.
However it may be, Pokemon TCG's Scarlet and Violet: Picking the right pack from the Surging Sparks sets will no doubt be important, especially thanks to the neat new artwork.
