Greed II: The Dying WorldFirst announced on May 18, 2022, is a prequel to 2019's Greedfall that explores the “old world” seen briefly in the later prologue. Players take on the role of a native of Teer Fradee, who, after being uprooted by the Force and sent to Gacane, must regain his freedom and take control of his destiny. Navigating the political schemes of numerous factions, players must find a way to thwart a plan for conquest that could destroy both the Old World and Tir Freddy.
In February 2024, Greed IIThe developers, Spiders, announced that the game will be made available in early access during the summer. After a limited playtest period in April and the release of a gameplay trailer between May, we finally got confirmation of an Early Access release date on June 11.

Greedfall 2: The Dying World It is planned to launch into Early Access on September 24, 2024. According to the store page on Steam, the developers plan to regularly update the game during Early Access, with the Early Access build expected to represent around 30% of the final game's content. . Presumably for this reason, the game is planned to retail at a lower price during Early Access compared to the full release.
In the game's Early Access release, players will be able to create their character and select from a variety of skills, experience the beginning of the game and its story, and navigate multiple areas. Players can recruit their first companions and explore regional quests and fortress systems, interacting with NPCs in a variety of ways, both from old and new players of origin. The Early Access roadmap (see image above) indicates that the start of the main quest and three play areas will be available at launch, with six friends to recruit and six skill trees to use.
