Well, that's what they're supposed to do, but as players have quickly found out over the past few days, NPCs like Ice Spice and Snoop can really hinder your efforts to achieve a victory royale.
Ice Spice has undoubtedly been one of the worst offenders in recent days, as several clips have surfaced online of the rapper completely derailing games with several unfortunate ice grenades. There are two very high-profile examples floating around at the moment, which were shared on the Fortnite subreddit by users raymondwester and reeves_wilmoth.
Fortnite fans hate Chapter 2: Remix's Snoop and Ice Spice NPCs
Raymondwester's example of Ice Spice's backstabbing ways can be seen above, as she throws a grenade two feet in front of the player while behind them, which knocks them off their high platform and causes them to die via fall damage. Reeves_Wilmoth shared a similar clip a few days ago, which sees them at the top of a tower with sniper rifles, only for Ice Spice to blast them to their deaths with another random ice grenade.

This was such a widespread issue that Epic Games had to temporarily disable Ice Spice's ability to throw ice grenades while they worked on a fix, but even then, players still seem to hate him for a number of reasons. For example, a user called AboutAverage404 hates Ice Spice because she can't actually hit you with her splashes and she also hates walking everywhere, calling her an “absolute F tier NPC”.
Not only is Ice Spice catching heat, but fellow rappers Snoop and Eminem are also taking issue. According to user ReevesWilmoth's post Specialist_Injury_68, Snoop is regularly killing himself with his own bombs, while many people are still pissed off when Eminem accidentally blows up cars and kills entire squads. Epic apparently decided to model the AI after how these guys would play Fortnite in real life.
