As Tom Holland Spider Man moves to theaters, Brand new day serves as a reminder of Peter Parker's undying popularity. Recognizing this long ago, Marvel has spent the last 60 years stacking up the Multiverse. Spider-PeopleEach with their own stories, quirks and powers. Peter and Miles Morales are capable, but they're far from the strongest Spider-Men in the comics or the Expanded Universe.
From vampires to Hulks, Superboys and Gwens, Marvel has a Spider-Man for every situation and demographic. While some are quite weak or obscure, many of these heroes (or villains) are extremely powerful and fit well with many comic characters. Let's take a look at the long history of Spider-Men and dive into the mainstream.

Arachnid Jr. (Earth-15349)
Notable Feature: Luchador Spider-Man from Mexico
- First appearance: Spider-verse #2 (January, 2015)
Born to the son of a luchador of the same name, in a story as old as time, he watches his loved one die and then uses it as motivation to become vigilant. An alternate version of Scorpion, Escorpion, was paid to injure his father, Arachnid, in a match, and would later die from his injuries.
Mexican Spider-Man vows to avenge his father and tracks down the mob, teaming up with Scorpion to hurt his father. Like many versions of Spider-Man, he was eventually recruited into the Spider-Army to take on some multiverse escapades. Aracindo Jr. appears to have all the same powers as regular Spider-Man, but how he got them remains a mystery.

Spider-Man (The Amazing Spider-Man) (Earth-120703)
Notable Features: All the usual bells and whistles
- First appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)
Andre Garfield stepped into the web-slinger's shoes The Amazing Spider-Man. This portrayal of Peter Parker was more accurate to the comics and inspired it. Ultimate Comics series.
He essentially has the same powers and abilities as regular 616 Spidey. His story was somewhat continued with appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies Spider-Man: No Way HomeWhich prompted fans to ask to see Garfield's Spider-Man with a follow-up movie to give him the story he deserves. Taking on the excess of prestige Spider Man Rogues, Garfield's Spider-Man proved to be extremely strong and capable.

Spider-UK (Earth-833)
Notable Feature: Unification of Spider-Man and Captain Britain
- First appearance: Edge of Spider-Verse #2 (September, 2014)
The protagonist William Braddock, known as Spider-UK, was born in Britain as a rookie captain. He learned of Morlun and his quest to kill all spider variants, so he joined the Spider-Army and traveled the multiverse warning others of their impending doom.
After helping defeat Morlun, he continues his journey with the newly formed Web Warriors but is killed by Verna, Morlun's partner in evil, while trying to stop Otto Octavius from using the Inheritors' cloning technology on Earth-616. Spider-UK Earth-803 was buried in England. A major player in the Spider-Verse saga, with all the powers of regular Spider-Man.

Sun Spider (Earth-20023)
Notable feature: Spider powered with a disability
- First appearance: Spider-Verse (Vol. 3) #6 (March, 2020)
A very interesting take on the character, the aptly named Charlotte Weber, was born with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. This gave her mobility problems, meaning she had to use crutches to walk.
However, she never let her disability define her, and when she was bitten by a radioactive spider, she became the Sun Spider. Using web shooters built into her crutches, she fights crime in Earth's New York-20023. Like most alternate Spider-Men, he was eventually recruited into the Spider-Verse to aid in numerous dilemmas. Along with regular Spidey's powers, Charlotte Webber is an important character who reaches out for inclusiveness and flexibility.

Spider-Wolf (Earth-13989)
Notable Trait: Same powers as Spidey, but also a werewolf
- First appearance: The Amazing Spider-Man (Volume 3) #11 (December, 2014)
Spider-Wolf is an alternate version of Spider-Man from Earth-13989. This became his first and only appearance in the mysterious Marvel character Amazing Spider-Man (Vol. 3) #11. While this character's run is short-lived, the range of powers he's displayed during his solo outing is already impressive.
While not much is known about the character's origins, his powers are essentially the same as Spider-Man from Earth-616, the classic Spidey everyone knows and loves, only with the ability to transform into a werewolf. This gives him more strength and agility than he already has.

Patton Parnell (Earth-51412)
Notable Trait: Can transform into a spider-like creature
- First appearance: The edge of the spider-verse #4 (October, 2014)
Patton Parnell is a more disturbing version of the kid-friendly web-slinger everyone is familiar with. Instead of having the optimistic, witty and selfless personality of the classic Spider-Man, this character is depressed, asocial and ruthless.
His powers are also very different from Peter Parker's. Instead of the character's standard abilities, the character transforms into a hideous eight-eyed creature with eight eyes. His webbing is organic, and he can plant it on people just by biting the spider.

Spider-Man (Spider-Man Noir) (Earth-90214)
Notable Trait: Spider-Man, but also a gun-wielding detective
- First appearance: Spider-Man Noir #1 (December, 2008)
This version of Spider-Man's costume is simply stunning. In a world set in 1930s New York during the Great Depression, mobsters and gangs are rampant in the Big Apple, and the Peter Parker of this universe sets out to rid his city of crime. Like Batman, Spider-Man Noir is gritty and dark and even sports guns as part of his arsenal.
His powers are similar to those of the original Webhead, but he was taught that “if there is too much power, it is the people's responsibility to remove it.” This explains his approach to crime fighting.

Spider-Man (Earth-11580)
Notable Feature: Hive Mind of spiders that take the shape of Spider-Man
- First appearance: Spider-Geddon #3 (November, 2018)
Although Zombie Spider-Man is also on this list, Spider-Man is still very scary and made his debut in the 2018 story “Spider-Gadden”. In his world, Peter Parker falls into a colony of radioactive spiders and is eaten by them. Somehow, the spiders became the hive mind that assumed Parker's existence.
In terms of powers, Spider-Man is similar to the forgotten one-off villain of the 616 world known as Carl King, who had super strength, speed and agility and was able to bite and poison his victims or, if they were power-hungry, swallow them whole. Interestingly, this version of Spider-Man is incredibly difficult to kill for good because, as long as one of the spiders is alive, Spider-Man is technically still alive.

Spider (Earth-15)
Notable Feature: Spider-Man meets Carnage, with Deadpool intervening
- First appearance: Exile #12 (April, 2002)
This version of Spider-Man is a combination of Peter Parker, Carnage and Deadpool. Unlike the righteous and noble Peter Parker, Earth-15's Peter Parker is a sociopathic mass murderer who was sentenced to 67 consecutive life sentences for his heinous crimes.
It merged with the Peter Parker Carnage symbiote, giving him powers similar to those of Carnage and classic Spider-Man. His sense of humor is also similar to Deadpool.

Spider-Man (Marvel Cinematic Universe)
- First appearance: Captain America: Civil War (2016)
After years of legal battles, Spider-Man appears in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Captain America: Civil Warwhere he was played by Tom Holland. This Spider-Man was widely accepted as the most comic-accurate portrayal of the character, as the actor's age was close to that of Spider-Man from the comics.
Having his own trilogy, this version of Spider-Man was very close to the original, with the notable exception of Iron Man being more involved with the character, giving him an advanced suit and armor. Fans have yet to see the true power of Tom Holland as Spider-Man, but with the years of the MCU, it's probably just a matter of time.
