UK welcomes Lebanese government’s call for cessation of violence

LONDON: Britain has welcomed the Lebanese government's call for an end to all violence after it blamed Lebanon's Hezbollah for an attack on the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, Britain's foreign secretary said after talks with Lebanon's prime minister. “I spoke with (Lebanon's) Prime Minister @Najib_Mikati today and welcome the Lebanese government's statement to express my concern over the escalation of tensions and call for an end to all violence,” David Lamy wrote on X on Monday. “We both agreed that it is in nobody's interest to widen the conflict in the region.”
