Gabimaru must find the elixir of life in the legendary realm of Shinsenkyo. But he's not the only one sent to the island. A large group of condemned convicts accompany the executioners like Sagiri, and whoever finds the elixir and brings the executioner back alive is pardoned for his crime.

The basis of anime is a fresh and dark idea that draws in the audience immediately, Shonen Jump has revived many dark manga serialized in magazines, and Hell's Paradise, Chains Man, and Jujutsu Kaisen are great examples of this. With the rise of dark anime like Attack on TitanDark anime is often widely accepted and loved by fans, but a good concept alone is not enough to warrant a successful series.

Already high expectations in the series. And when the time came, Hell's Paradise didn't accomplish what Mappa had done before. In today's anime industry, a good story alone is not enough to guarantee the success of a series.

Audiences now prefer good animation and art over anything else, for better or worse. While Hell's Paradise had a good premise and a good story, the lackluster animation compared to its predecessors made it fall short of what fans expected. Much of the conversation relied on unnecessary aspects, such as the character of Yuzuriha, who became incredibly popular for her attractive design and personality.

And while two seasons of Hell's Paradise have already been announced, it's safe to say that season one went largely unnoticed and was a surprise to many anime fans, who expected visuals similar to other Studio Map modern action anime shows. The story will last up to two seasons to meet the expectations of manga fans and new fans of the anime.
