Wizards of the Coast has confirmed that its something new Magic: Assembly Products will experience a delay as a result of a manufacturing defect. The massively popular trading card game has stepped up its output with a wide variety of highly-anticipated new expansions launching throughout the year. Seen in 2025 Magic: Assembly Truly embracing their “Universes Beyond” line of crossovers, bringing everything from final fantasy who Spider Man and more. Now, however, some new products are now set to be released a little later than expected.
One of Wizards of the Coast's main ways to bring in special new cards Magic: Assembly The game's frequent “secret layer” drops come through. Secret Lairs serve as a small curated collection of cards players can pick up through the Secret Lair Shop, usually reprints of old cards with new artwork. Secret Lairs are often given Magic: Assembly Way to bring new mini-crossovers, adding popular franchises like the recent “PlayStation SuperDrop” horizon and god of war. Wizards of the Coast is now sharing some unfortunate news about its Secret Lair series.
Magic: The Gathering is delaying some Secret Layer products
Wizards of the Coast made an official announcement on Friday about some of their new Secret Layer products. Inside the “Secret Layer Update” posted to the official Magic: Assembly website, the developer revealed that some of its recent Secret Layer items will be subject to manufacturing delays based on “inconsistencies with raw material components.” Wizards of the Coast offers fans options if their order is affected by the delay, offering refunds or modifications to affected customers. Wizards of the Coast did not specify which the magic Secret Lairs are affected by the delay.
The production delay with Wizards of the Coast comes as the developer has recently increased its layers of secrecy with the release of tons of new products. Along with the previously-mentioned PlayStation Secret Lairs, the developer also announced new collaborations with pop culture icons. the jaw, Furbyand Iron Maiden among many others. Magic: AssemblySecret Layer's litany of crossovers doesn't stop at the drop, with several more collaborations planned throughout the rest of the year. The final standard-legal set of 2025 will feature the game's third full crossover expansion of the year, along with Nickelodeon. Avatar The Last Airbender is added to Magic: Assembly. The final fantasy The collaboration will also get even more content, with new holiday products later this year adding some new promo cards. Magic: Assembly The card game is going all-in on its crossovers, with several fan-favorite media properties.
