Community Days are among the most popular recurring events in the mobile spin-off of the beloved monster-catching franchise. While each month puts a different Pokémon in the spotlight for a limited time, Niantic usually shares dates months in advance for future Community Day events. Monthly events feature both increased spawn rates and shine rates for Spotlight Pokémon, as well as gaining access to a special charged attack when evolved to the final stage during the event. The poster mentions that they live in a rural town in the South, possibly within the United States, and shares that the temperature can reach 93°F, or about 34°C, on community days. A Reddit user shared that just 20 minutes after leaving his house to attend the event, his phone started to slow down significantly as a result of overheating. Comments on the post were filled with other fans echoing recurring issues with the Community Day schedule.
