All June 2026 Free Games You Can Claim

Updated on June 22 by Mark Sammut: We updated the free games blurb to include all active giveaways, along with updating the different sections. Tell Me Why is surprisingly available for free on the Xbox Store.

Be it through Steam’s free games-to-keep program, Amazon Prime Gaming’s June 2026 lineup, or the Epic Games Store’s weekly giveaways, this month refuses to stop handing out freebies. Right at this very moment, you can claim Tell Me Why, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Mafia 3, and Citizen Sleeper for $0, and that’s far from a full rundown of June 2026’s free games. These deals don’t typically last for a long time, so you must act now and not later to make sure you don’t miss out on anything that you might want.

PlayStation and Xbox owners don’t typically get 100% free games, but they can at least look forward to new Game Pass and PS Plus arrivals, both of which tend to include an array of massive titles. For instance, PS Plus Extra’s June selection includes Final Fantasy 16 and Sonic X Shadow Generations, while Game Pass has added Persona 5 Royal, Solarpunk, Call of Duty: Vanguard, and EA Sports FC 26. Regardless of what platform somebody prefers, they have free June games to claim.

I am including PS Plus and Xbox Game Pass for completionist sake, and I’ll add Nintendo Switch Online if they announce anything. They aren’t really free, but there is no harm in listing them. EA Play and Ubisoft+ Premium are not included.

Active Free Games

Steam Free Games

Tell Me Why

One of Steam’s biggest-ever giveaways, all three chapters of Tell Me Why are available for free, and they will stay that way for an entire month. A narrative-driven adventure game similar to Don’t Nod’s more popular Life is Strange, Tell Me Why tells a story about twins trying to uncover mysteries from their childhoods.

Best Free Games To Claim Right Now (2026): Steam, PlayStation, Xbox & More

Claim free games right now on Steam, Epic Games Store, and Amazon Luna, while PS Plus and Xbox Game Pass are always adding new games.

Epic Games Store Giveaways

Citizen Sleeper

Epic Games Store’s weekly free games for June 18–25 are both reasonably exciting titles, despite being relatively niche. Citizen Sleeper converts the board game experience into video game form better than most of its contemporaries, all the while telling a great character-driven story in a fully realized world.

Robobeat

  • Giveaway End Date: June 25, 2026 @ 8 AM PT; 11 PM EST; 5 PM CEST
  • Usual Price: $19.99
  • Epic Games Store Page: Robobeat

The other free game for this week is Robobeat, a rhythm-based shooter that casts you as a bounty hunter. Move to the beat and blast some robots.

Construction Simulator 3 (Mobile)

Although not as heavily promoted, Epic Games Store recently added weekly free mobile games, with Guild of Dungeoneering the current pick. You will need to follow a few steps to install the game, but it is worth the effort.

Amazon Luna (Requires Amazon Prime Membership)

Free Games For GOG, Epic Games Store, and Amazon Games

Amazon recently scaled back Luna’s offerings, ending external subscriptions and individual game purchases to focus solely on its own subscription. One part of the service that seems destined to continue is the free game giveaways, which can be claimed across a variety of sites like Epic Games Store and GOG. At any given moment, Amazon Luna has at least 15 freebies, covering both indie and major releases like Mafia 3 and Tomb Raider.

Out of all the platforms that hand out free titles, Amazon Prime Gaming/Luna might be the most overlooked, simply because most people don’t get a Prime subscription for gaming. As such, they might not know that they can claim a bunch of titles. Make sure to always check the offerings, as any Prime user can claim them forever.

Once you claim a game through Amazon Luna, it is yours – no Amazon Prime or Amazon Luna subscription required to play.

The listed dates are when the giveaways end.

IndieGala Free Games

Blood and Zombies & Carlos the Taco

Blood and Zombies has been free for months now, and it seems set to remain that way for the time being. A co-op zombie shooter, this game is a small entry in an oversaturated genre, but it might be worth a go if you are craving something else besides Left 4 Dead 2.

You can also pick up Mr. Brocco & Co, a 2D side-scroller with a simple art style and gameplay.

Game Club “Waka-Waka” & Carlos the Taco

Another IndieGala free game with no expiration date, Game Club “Waka-Waka” lets you manage your own gaming store. Simple concept that doesn’t necessarily do anything too new, but it works well enough.

Carlos the Taco is a silly 2D platformer that, obviously, doesn’t take itself too seriously. It incorporates shoot ’em up action to complement the platforming.

The Brave Little Cloud & Blacklist Mafia

Finally, The Brave Little Cloud is another 2D platformer with colorful visuals, a cute protagonist, and straightforward level design. Nothing too amazing by any stretch of the imagination, but worth adding to your library.

Blacklist Mafia is also free to claim right now.

Xbox Free Game Bonus: Tell Me Why

In a surprising move, Dontnod opted to also make Tell Me Why free on the Xbox Store, and you don’t need a subscription to add it to your library. This might not sound like a big deal, especially considering the game is spending half a month free on Steam, but these types of giveaways rarely extend to console versions. While not the developer’s most decorated release by any stretch of the imagination, Tell Me Why still demonstrates Dontnod’s talent for emotional character writing. Despite boasting a different title, the game basically feels like an extension of Life is Strange, at least in terms of belonging to the same genre. Don’t go in expecting LiS but with twins, but definitely play Tell Me Why if you enjoy Dontnod’s more well-known IP.
