Laufey God of War is exciting for many reasons, not the least of which is how it promises to reframe 2018. god of warIn addition Ragnarok. It's a bit surprising, really, because Laufey God of War Effectively Faye would be our first proper introduction to the character, who made only the briefest of appearances. God of War RagnarokAnd was almost absent from 2018 god of war.
Ahead for major spoilers god of war A Norse saga.
We don't technically see Laufey god of war 2018, a creative decision that, in hindsight, only enhances his air of mystery. The game begins with Kratos preparing his funeral pyre, cutting down trees marked with a hand-shaped sign, which is eventually revealed, obscuring Kratos, Faye, and Atreus from Odin's all-seeing magic. Before her death, she instructed Kratos to cut down these trees, burn her body, and bring her ashes to the highest point in the Nine Realms, these instructions lead father and son to Jotunheim, which contains a mural detailing the Ragnarok prophecy. The piece also reveals that Fae is actually Laufe the Just, a famous and heroic Jotnar, who predicted Kratos' arrival on Midgard decades ago. It can be a lot to wrap your head around, and Laufey God of War Perhaps it will make it more delightfully complex.

Each god confirmed to be in Laufey's God of War
There are many gods expected to appear and clash with the Fae in God of War Laufey, and here's everyone on the roster so far.
Who is Laufe, God of Laufe's future-seeing hero?
To understand the reason Laufey God of War 2018 is very important to the story god of warIt is important to first establish an understanding of this unique presentation of the mythological figure. Part of the Jotnar race, also known as the Giants, Laufe fought against Odin during a campaign to exterminate his people. Renowned as a warrior and sometimes referred to as Laufey the Just, the monster also clashed with the mighty Thor, evidence of which can be found by frozen lightning bolt players. God of War Ragnarok.
But eventually, Laufi chose to “disconnect” Jotunheim from the World Tree, rendering it inaccessible from the other eight realms, as she stayed behind in Midgard. By this time, she had already foretold the arrival of Kratos as well as the birth of Atreus, and an indeterminate amount of time later, she met Kratos in reality, and the two were married.
Shortly after, Fei died of unspecified causes. It's strongly implied that he knew his time was coming – Kratos was apparently given very clear posthumous instructions, and neither he nor Atreus were particularly shocked by his passing. Furthermore, Faye's plots are effectively the catalyst that begins god of war Nurse Saga, suggesting that her influence and foresight reach far beyond what many had previously imagined.
It is widely believed that Faye died of an illness, but it is also possible that she died from injuries sustained during a fight with a few. Since the identity of her true Jotnar was unknown to Kratos and Atreus, the pair would naturally assign a more mundane cause of death. This issue may be clear Laufey God of War.
God of War Laufey will reveal the full influence of the Fae
It is still not entirely clear that Faye is responsible for the previous two incidents god of war Games. She apparently wanted Kratos and Atreus to discover the prophetic mural, and perhaps she orchestrated other aspects of their journey as well. This notion is supported by Fay commenting that Kratos and Atreus are “on the path” once he learns that she is dead. Laufey God of War.
Instructing Kratos to remove her protective ward by burning the marked trees after her death could also be a sign of Faye's manipulation. You could interpret this directive as an example of Faye deliberately putting her family in harm's way, so that they could achieve some greater goal. But Faye seems to really love Kratos and Atreus, so maybe she saw into the future and knew they would succeed in their journey. Or maybe Faye didn't really think they'd be in any danger in the first place, but more on that later.
It is still not entirely clear that Faye is responsible for the previous two incidents god of war Games.
Kratos' mysterious dreams are also worth noting God of War RagnarokIn which he sees Faye. These visions are partly dreams, partly memories, and according to Kratos, partly others entirely. He tells Mimir that he thinks they are more than simple memories, but also notes that he doesn't think he's seen Faye's ghost. It's not too much of a stretch to wonder if these dreams are actually instances of Faye contacting Kratos via the Everyone, something we can see in real time. Laufey God of War.
Lord of War Laufey cannot overplay his hand
It would certainly be interesting if Laufey God of War Faye is revealed to be the ultimate puppet master, pulling the strings behind every major event god of war and God of War RagnarokBut I suspect things will be more complicated than that. for one thing, Laufey God of War According to a post on PlayStation's official blog, it will follow Faye “as she discovers the plans she has in place to protect Kratos and Atreus.” Whatever the reason for this, the mere fact that his plans are in jeopardy indicates that he is not in complete control.
Even more important are the themes that all nurse through the curriculum god of war Games, especially about fate, destiny and free will. The entire campaign God of War Ragnarok is about breaking the chains of fate, which Kratos and Atreus successfully accomplish at the end of the game. Faye herself destroyed a mural that would have revealed future events for Kratos and Atreus, indicating that she places some importance on free will, or at least believes in free will. Laufey God of War Risk undermining this message by revealing that Faye actually prefigured everything.
Still, it should be compelling to gain more insight into how Faye influenced Kratos and Atreus' journey. A combination of Faye's precognition and Everwhen's transcendental nature makes the aforementioned dream-messages appear to be sent by Faye to Kratos. Ragnarok. In all likelihood, Laufey God of WarThe story will change a lot about how the audience perceives the two in 2018 god of war and RagnarokFor better or worse.
