an efficient Lego A fan manages to build a custom MOC (My Own Creation) Caterpie Pokemon The series is completely from scratch, using no special sets, and it looks better than the recently released and leaked LEGO ones. Pokemon sets. A collaboration between Lego and Pokemon Of course that didn't go unnoticed, as some of the sets released on Pokemon Day sold out of pre-order immediately, and some even tried to resell them for a lot on third-party sites. There will be more LEGO Pokemon Sets coming this year, including several Smart Play sets.
As successful as the collaboration has proven to be, Lego Pokemon The sets for 2026 may not be for everyone due to the many Smart Play sets shown in the leak, the Smart Bricks increasing the value of any set in them, and the fact that some Pokemon don't look very good. Some fans were very unhappy with the Pikachu and Poke Ball sets at launch, stating that the series mascot didn't look right, and some of the sets coming this summer may suffer from the same problem. Enter fan-made builds, which aren't restricted by piece count or smart bricks, and fans have something compelling to put together.

LEGO Fan Converts Millennium Falcon into Warhammer 40K Battleship with No Extra Pieces
An expert LEGO builder manages to transform the iconic 75375 Millennium Falcon set into a Warhammer 40,000 Imperial Battleship without extra bricks.
LEGO Pokemon Caterpie MOC Build
Reddit user and YouTube content creator hachiroku24 shared a post to share custom LEGOs on the LEGO subreddit. Pokemon Build for Caterpie, which looks on the small side, but still sports incredible detail in both the Pokemon and the base used for it. The MOC build features a beautiful, wide-eyed Caterpy that looks like a tree root surrounded by flowers and grass.

This isn't the first for hachiroku24, who has a YouTube channel full of incredible MOC builds, and has shared many of them on Reddit over time. One of them is Magnemite, shaped like an official LEGO Pokemon The Eevee set, and even the build of the Hornet inside Hollow Knight: Silksong. This Caterpie is particularly well done, and not only is it a faithful recreation of the iconic Gen 1 bug-type Pokemon, but it's also proof that LEGO Pokemon The sets may be more polished and less blocky than what has been shown so far.
Hachiroku24's Pokemon in the making is looking up, and it's reminiscent of an old anime scene where Ash's Caterpie and Pikachu look up at the moon, the old tattered, dreaming of one day flying. Eventually, this evolves, and she and Ash tearfully separate after Butterfree falls in love and wants to be free to be with her partner. The Pokemon The anime finally reunites Ash and Butterfree after 25 years, creating an equally emotional scene.

Unfortunately, although many fans of hachiroku24's work have requested instructions on Rebrickable to rebuild the build, they have not been shared by the expert builder. In fact, hachiroku24 responded by saying that they are currently focused on completing studies for a degree in physics, which means they are taking a few years off from LEGO-related content and YouTube. This may sting for those who really wanted to remake this beautiful Caterpie, but hopefully, an original set for this Pokemon will be released in the near future. A lot of legos Pokemon Leaks for 2026 haven't been included recently, but it's unlikely that both Caterpy and Butterfree will be ignored for long.
