The release of Invincible VS, the fighting game set in the Invincible universe, is less than a week away. As the days go by, Skybound has revealed who will be voicing one of the series' most iconic characters in its video game spinoff, and with Steven Yeun not voicing Mark, Invincible fans seem fine with his replacement.
Alex is invincible
As revealed by the actor himself on Twitter, Alex is the voice of Mark Grayson in Invincible VS. “For the past ten months I have been the voice of Invincible on Invincible VS,” he tweeted. “Steven Yeun is my favorite actor, and I carefully studied his performance to hone this character.”
Le really did a great job imitating Yeun's voice for the role. So much so that many were unsure if Yoon was the voice of Invincible in the game or not. Especially since some of the actors who voiced their characters on the show have reprized the roles for the game, decisions that were likely determined by whether or not the actors were available during the development of Invincible VS.
Actors reprising their roles for Invincible VS
JK Simmons will voice Omni-Man, for example, as he did when the character was added to the Mortal Kombat 1 roster. Atom Eve is voiced by Gillian Jacobs in both the game and the show, and Jason Mantzokis voices Rex Splood for the story mode portions of the game. Ryan Goldsher will be voicing the character for Rex Splod's gameplay, so fans will be able to make direct comparisons in close to real time for him to be a real tall order.
Other actors from the show who don't voice their characters in the game include Walton Goggins (Cecil) and Seth Rogen (Allen the Alien). As for Leigh, fans are very happy with her casting even though she's not invincible as we've come to know over four seasons of the show.
Le returned to the post revealing his role in the game to acknowledge the love he received and thank fans. “I really can't thank everyone enough for the support today. I don't think I've had a day like this in a long time,” he said, adding that there are many stories to tell about how the game came together that he will clue fans in on.
Even if you don't know Le by name, there's a very strong chance you're familiar with his work. His most recent notable role is another superhero, as he is the voice of Daredevil in Marvel Rivals. He is also the main character, Sung Jin-woo in Solo Leveling, the voice of Luke in Street Fighter 6, and Sonnon Kusakabe in Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Rebirth.
