Every anime has a ton of different characters, but the focus is almost always on the protagonist, and why wouldn't it be? After all, they are one of the main focal points of the series. Because of this, many interesting side characters have to settle for limited screen time.

One Piece: The 8 Greatest Users of Lightning Powers, Ranked
Lightning powers are relatively common in One Piece, and many characters excel at using this elemental power.
Naturally, this saddened many fans, but they had no choice but to accept the harsh reality. Over time, some writers actually put great characters into spin-offs, which is enough to satisfy fans. But they are still not able to include all of them.

Goal de Roger
In a series as massive as One Piece, choosing just one character for a spin-off is as difficult as a box of monkeys. However, if one were to leave all kinds of prejudice aside, the most logical choice would be Gol de Roger, King of Pirates.
Roger is an interesting character who, despite having some similarities to Luffy, is quite different. He was an incredibly strong fighter who was able to go toe to toe with the likes of Whitebeard, Garp, and Shiki. What makes Roger a great choice for a spin-off is that there's still a lot that fans don't know. A new story could easily cover his early days as a pirate and when he discovered he had an incurable disease.

Minato Namikaze
Minato Namikaze was the fourth Hokage of Hidden Leaf and one of the most talented ninjas in the entire series. Minato took the exams at the academy and smashed all kinds of records. Later, he was assigned to Jiraiya's team, and under him, Minato was able to realize his potential.
Minato needed a spin-off because Kishimoto didn't touch many aspects of his life. Recently, a one-shot was released that revealed how Minato came to possess the Rasengan. A spin-off will have a similar effect, but instead of revealing just one or two things, fans will learn a lot more about him.

vegetables
Vegeta is one of the most beloved anime characters of all time. His growth from a villain to a proper family man has been nothing short of remarkable, and is one of the main reasons for his fame.
Vegeta is a fantastic character, and yet he's always overshadowed by Goku in some way, but that's not to say the Prince of Saiyans doesn't have his moments. However, many fans believe that Vegeta needs a proper spin-off.

L Lawliet
L Lawliet was the antithesis of Yagami Light. His role as an internationally recognized spy was to ensure that Light could not kill anyone he wanted. L knew that such power would corrupt even the kindest souls, and that's exactly what happened. Prakash began killing anyone who tried to stop him.
L's story ended with his tragic death, but fans couldn't help but think he deserved more screen time. This problem could easily be solved by giving him a spin-off, which would cover his early life in detail and some of the cases that made him famous around the world. With a few side characters, writers may be worried whether their spin-offs will sell as well, but L's name is enough to sell a few million copies.

Askner
Escanor is part of a very special list of side characters who actually end up being the main lead for a significant part of the story. As a member of the famous Seven Deadly Sins, he was an elite fighter whose name inspired awe and respect. Escanor's unique ability was called “Sunshine” and it increased his power depending on the time of day.

Askner has a much better backstory than the other side characters, and his powers make the fights much more interesting as well. Clearly, Escanor has all the necessary tools that would allow him to thrive as the main lead. So if Nakaba Suzuki were to pick one person to write the spin-off, it would have to be Escanor.

Anime: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is famous for being one of the best characters, and all the credit goes to Hirohiko Araki. The author has created such an incredible cast of characters over the years that it feels almost impossible to pick just one. However, if there is one person who deserves it more than anyone else, it is Bruno Bucciarati.
He led a team in Passione, but unlike many gangsters, Bucciarati was respected by the common people. His stand wasn't strong, but the way he used it made Sticky Fingers seem like a really cool ability. A spin-off about Bruno will add more depth to the character and further increase his popularity.

Unlike the other characters on the list, Sukuna is not a hero, but rather a villain. However, that doesn't mean Sukuna can't have a potential spin-off. As he existed centuries before the Jujutsu Kaisen timeline, fans only received limited information about him.
A spin-off set in the Heian era where Tsukuna fought other ancient magicians would be really amazing, and it would definitely sell a lot of copies.
