Assault rifles are the go-to weapons for players who want to cover multiple engagement ranges. Battlefield 6 They deal medium-long range without compromising damage. Most weapons in this category are designed for firing between the 20 and 50 meter marks, although some of them extend to the extreme end of the range spectrum, capable of either close-quarter dominance or supreme accuracy at long range. In this guide, we'll go over all the best assault rifles inside BF6 To help you get a better idea of which one is best in which scenario.

After the weapon is inserted Battlefield 6 Since the targets are balanced around engagement distances, I've decided to divide Assault Rifles into three brackets based on what range they excel at. This makes it easy to compare weapons while giving you a better look at the overall big picture.
M16A4
When the M16A4 was added BF6 Season 3, it immediately reclaimed its place Battlefield 3 As the best assault rifle in the game, not because of its raw TTK values, but Because of its sheer versatility. This rifle is reliable at all ranges, and compared to some of the other guns on this list it's better than the 40-meter mark, if not better. It's still very much a powerhouse, especially in the near-mid range.
seems Four shots to kill a person with a M16A4 body shot up to 20 metersAnd it will take 6 shots to take a player down to 75 meters. Combine that with the weapon's 771 RPM fire rate and relatively low recoil, and you've got yourself a gun that's capable of standing up competently against many other primary weapons in the game.
B36A4
Think of it as a B36A4 A more comfortable version of the M16A4. Both weapons have similar damage profiles, but the B36A4 has a slightly slower rate of fire and much better recoil. This rifle doesn't bounce as much as the M16A4 during automatic fire, making it a good choice for players who want a little ease of use (despite the slight recoil nerf in Season 3).
The B36A4 is one of those assault rifles BF6 It's hard to find any major faults. It is completely average in all respectsAnd while you will definitely be outgunned by players using more specialized weapons, the B36A4 can definitely still win against them if you play your cards right.
M433
The M433 is an early assault rifle BF6, And while every rookie's first gun is, It is capable of competing with everything up to the 50m mark. Unlike the previous two weapons, it shreds in CQB thanks to its 830 RPM fire rate and 25-damage bullets that drop up to a 21-meter range.
Using the M433 at medium range (ie above 20 meters) is still entirely possible with the correct construction, but due to the rifle's more erratic recoil pattern, its higher rate of fire is exacerbated. If players want to reliably hit their targets from a distance they will have to start burst firing.
NVO-228E
NVO managed to avoid going unfaded in Season 3. It retains many of the advantages and disadvantages of previous seasons, and because of that, I can safely say that the weapon is in a very good place. Like the M433, the NVO supports a lot of close combat due to its ability to fire three shots into someone's chest.. It's no slouch at medium range either, though its slow fire rate and medium-high bloom hurt its ability to take out other players by the 40-meter mark.
Just keep this in mind The NVO's three-shot-kill range does not extend beyond 8 metersSo you have to be very aggressive if you want to use the maximum potential of this weapon.
Cord 6P67
Chord is the opposite of NVO in terms of preferred range; This gun has the lowest damage-per-bullet value (20) of all assault rifles, but it compensates Very low recoil and very high rate of fire (900 RPM). Because of these properties, Chord is best suited for medium-range encounters. In such cases, other weapons start to miss or have to be fired in bursts to be accurate. Meanwhile, Cord can only fire a stream of bullets that is all but guaranteed to hit if its user is skilled enough.
Despite its preference for mid-range brawls, Cord can still cope well with CQB encountersBut if you're looking down the barrel of any of the aforementioned weapons, you're probably going to lose.

TR-7
The TR-7 is arguably the best weapon when it comes to the CQB Assault Rifle bracket.. This gun does 33 damage up to 20 meters, which means targets go down in just three chest hits. The downside to this is that the TR-7 kicks very hard; Forget about the mule, this rifle kicks like a full-fledged horse even with engagement, and Season 3 saw its back become even stronger, effectively neutering it for mid-range combat.
don't get me wrong, The TR-7 is very effective in the right handAnd I can also say that this is the absolute best assault rifle BF6 For close range, but to get the most out of it, you need to dedicate yourself to playing CQB, which is going to be a problem when you're on big maps like Railway to Golmud.
VCR-2
The VCR-2 was used as the most effective assault rifle BF6, But since its nerf in Season 3, its use has become relatively painful. This gun has the worst-feeling shooting experience in the game by far, and while it will still chew people up at the same speed as the TR-7, its wild and unpredictable recoil pattern means that it's going to be extremely difficult to hit anyone beyond 20 meters (or any target in good cover).
AK4D
It's best to think of the AK4D as a A mellowed-down version of the TR-7Similar to the B36A4 of the M16A4. This battle rifle is the fourth fastest-firing assault rifle in CQB Thanks to its 20-meter long three-shot-kill range, and beyond, it will take down targets. Four shots in the chest up to 75 meters. The steady fire rate of the AK4D makes up for the heavy kick of the gun, so staying on target shouldn't be too much of a problem.
There's still the matter of bloom, and the AK4D has a ton, so if you want to hit targets at long range with this gun, just fire in two-shot bursts.
SOR-556
The SOR-556 is an extremely accurate assault rifle with minimal recoil, even less than the Cord. Of the three long-range ARs in this bracket, this one has Excellent accuracy during continuous fireMaking it the perfect choice for players who just want to sit back and beat people up from afar.
but, The slow rate of fire of the SOR-556 makes it one of the slowest-killing guns in the entire game.. It will almost always lose against a player with decent aim in direct, close-quarters combat, and it can also lose against guns like the Cord at longer ranges. I only recommend using this weapon if you're looking for something that takes very little effort to use, and even then, you'll have to adapt a stealthy playstyle and pick fights only against players who don't know where you are.
L85A3
The L85A3 is a middle-ground between the SOR-556 and the AK4D. It's perfectly fine for what it is, but it lacks the saving graces of the two aforementioned weapons. The L85A3 is just decent across the boardAlthough I'm not entirely sure that's enough to make it really competitive.
Success with the L85A3 depends on your personal accuracy as well as the battlefield situation, and like the SOR-556, you won't win any direct gunfights using this rifle. It can do some serious work, and often times, it will feel better than the SOR-556 because of its faster-to-kill, but it's hard to find a use-case for this weapon when the B36A4 exists.
