You might do well to check back on this article in a couple of days. Final Fantasy 7 Remake is not Part 3 – and I must stress, no– It's confirmed to be officially revealed at Summer Game Fest's showcase event on Friday, but the chances of it happening are pretty good. Rebirth made its initial splash there in 2023, and with all the chatter series director Naoki Hamaguchi has been making about the upcoming finale on the Internet, it really feels like prime time to lift the lid.
Fans are frantic to make last-minute predictions on the subtitles.
Forum Bets, Serious Business
This ResetEra thread is hardly the only place on the Internet that's been bursting with subtitled speculation this week, but it's unusual that the thread's creator, LaytonWright, has come to terms with the administration of the gaming forum community. Whoever gets it right will receive the otherwise-awkward profile banner: “Knights of the Round.”
Now, my own era banner “video game journalist.” With a nice little “certified” marker, too. I don't know if I want to trade that! But maybe! I definitely don't know the subtitle of FF7 remake part 3. But it was fun to see what people chose.
At the top of the list here, as well as in the overall speculation thread for the trilogy-capper, is “Final Fantasy 7 Returns.” Quoting the first person to mention it, a user who goes by the moniker The Unscented, “Final Fantasy 7 returns, like Return to the Planet, seems obvious to me.” To say nothing of the fact that there's a very good chance we'll be able to cross the entire planet, given the plot implications… I can see it. A number of endorsements have followed in consensus. Enough, indeed, that there would be a fair number of “knights of the round” if it could pass.
Others stick to “Final Fantasy 7 Reunion”. Which is the choice most fans make Not aware The developers' publicly expressed concern over choosing that subtitle for Crisis Core Final Fantasy 7 Reunion four years ago. They've said the obvious which means it's off the table, there's very good reason to assume it's the long and short of it — but never say never, as some are banking on a reunion, anyway, knowing full well what was said.
“Final Fantasy 7 Reclaimed” has some good reviews. Revive, Revival, and Requiem also make a fair dent. (My personal guess, by the way, is actually resurrection.) Reprise, Redemption, Recall, Remembrance, Revelation, Reunite, Returns, Relive, Reverse, Revenge, Renaissance, Reborn, Reunification, Retold, Renew, Recall, Rejoin, Resoluble All of these sentences wouldn't speak, and I would speak this sentence without Reloud. Take at least one deep breath along the way.
Can you imagine if part 3 didn't actually start “again”?
It's worth noting, LaytonWright is also running a secondary contest, all of which take stabs in the dark as to the release date of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3. Fix it (how) and you'll ditch the “One Winged Angel” profile banner instead. Fix them both somehow, and I don't know what happens to you, but you have to play the lottery.

Ubisoft is remaking Rayman Legends because it's already “the richest version in the world.”
I… do you think that makes sense…?
