The best upcoming RPGs releasing in July 2026

RPG fans have been treated to several great games in 2026, from Crimson Desert who Mystical EbbEach offers a completely different way to immerse yourself and be transported into a fantasy world. But we're passing the halfway point now, and there are tons of RPGs waiting to come out in July that could potentially blow everything out of the water.

Because of how vast the genre is, it feels like there's a constant stream of fresh ideas being released every month, and these games are looking to show that 2026 isn't the end of the creative stream. Exciting RPGs, action-packed adventures, and mind-blowing new concepts, are all set to grace our screens in the next few weeks.

Echoes of Aincrad

Echoes of Aincrad is a next-generation JRPG that aims to bring flair and intensity to an otherwise fairly crowded genre.

You start as a blank canvas, you'll be able to customize your hero however you choose, and from there, the world becomes an ever-expanding battlefield as you test your skills and become a truly unstoppable force.

A big focus for the game is building variety, because it doesn't matter if you want to go for sheer speed, intelligence, or endurance; Each option is viable from start to finish. The level of polish and interesting world building make it particularly interesting for me, and I'm really looking forward to spending dozens of hours on the next one. SAO The universe game.

Mistfall Hunter Is one of the most talked about names in the extraction space, and for good reason. Instead of running around with a set of guns and potions, you enter the world with a fantastic build from one of six classes, each race offering a completely different playstyle.

Whether you're a spell-slinging mage or an aggressive assassin, or customize your character in a way that toes the line between classes, there are many possibilities that fundamentally change how you start and exit the world. I'm pretty burned out on other withdrawal games, but this is definitely a day-one pick-me-up for me.

A tech-demo that became reality

At its core, it's a dungeon-crawling extraction game that throws you into increasingly dangerous situations, but instead of using cards or pure attacks, you must strategically manage cooldowns and strategically make your way through each battle to see the light of day.

The best part comes from the link between combat and your progress. After each grueling battle, you get loot to power up your party in a variety of ways, and from there, harder quests become accessible and more terrifying enemies are arranged, with a continuous loop of loot to fight for a dungeon-lover that seems very addictive and satisfying.
