There are two types of PDAs: information and quest related. Information PDAs will automatically send information to players' own PDAs, which in the case of stash locations will be recorded or displayed on the map. Quest Related PDAs will have a characteristic “brown tick” in the upper left corner, and can be considered an “important item”. As such, quest PDAs cannot be left behind, otherwise, they will block players from finding important items for main and sub quests.
