Yoshi and the Mysterious Book

Thaddeus is the first giant animal to be used Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. It is a real glutton that will try to inhale anything in sight, including Yoshi. Although it moves slowly, nothing can escape once it decides to breathe.

You can find Thudd at the end of Chapter 2Once you have discovered all the other creatures in the chapter and completed their stages. There are 26 Thudd inventions. The text turns red when you've found all the quests.

Thud is special because Thud's domain has two parts: Thud initially sleeping, and Thud moving after waking up.

All searches of Thudd can be done within its phase, the Thudd domain.

It is possible to miss some of them, therefore If it looks like Discovery is working, just start the level.

You can select “End Search” at any time because all your searches will be recorded and saved after you receive them. Here is each quest and how to get it:

Thapa got up	Thudd domain	Carry Crazee Dayzee, then spit Thudd Yoshi directly on top. Throw 5 Crazy Daisy at the Buried Heart Turnip to dig it up. Roll the heart turnip off the edge to swallow the Thudd and stand up.
Breathe in the entire pool	Thudd domain	Go to the pond to the left of the start area of the thud. Have Thad inhale the water.
A sparkling white jewel breathed out	Thudd domain	Spit Yoshi to break the rocks to the left of the starting area above the pool to reveal white gems. Take a white jewel on the thud and place it on the floor for breathing.
The red tear gem breathed out	Thudd domain	Spit Yoshi to break the top-right rocks of Thudd's starting area until you reveal the red gems. Take the red jewel on Thudd and place it on the ground to breathe.
Fossils of an ancient creature	Thudd domain	Spit at Yoshi to break the rocks in the upper-right part of the thudd's starting area until you expose a rope that Yoshi can grab onto. Spit Yoshi onto the rope, then drop to the right to reveal a fossil.
Not satisfied with apples	Thudd domain	Go through the cave until you reach an outer area with a large pool. Spit Yoshi at the apple trees above the pond to knock down the apples. Have Thaddeus inhale the apple from the floor.
Krokaoke sighed	Thudd domain	Progress through the levels until you reach Bowser Jr. Smash all the stone structures until Thadd can reach the Krokaoke and breathe.
Rescued Bowser Jr	Thudd domain	Progress through the stages until you reach the trapped Bowser Jr. Keep Yoshi breathing and spitting until all blocks are destroyed.
Even large creatures feel pain	Thudd domain	As the thud walks around, pound the ground on its head.
For the great outdoors	Thudd domain	Thud spit Yoshi out to break the rocks at the top-left of its starting area. Spit Yoshi straight up in the air when the Smiley Flower's location is below, above the cave. You can spit Yoshi onto the rope in the top-left area, then use speed and aim to get out.
Spit water and revive the smiley flower	Thudd domain	Inhale the water to the chest. Go to the dry smiley flower at the starting point of Thud, then spit at Yoshi to spray water on the smiley flower.
The statue was demolished	Thudd domain	Move Thudd from the edge to the right of its starting area. Turn left, breathe Yoshi, and spit into the small tunnel to the left below the starting point of the thudd to break the statue inside.
spat and opened the nut	Thudd domain	Take Thudd to the area outside the cave. Spit Yoshi on the rocks above to reveal and drop nuts. Let the thud breathe and spit the nuts to break them.
Plumebrella breathing	Thudd domain	Go to the large pool outside the cave. Spit Yoshi into the air above the pool to find a Plumebrella. Take the Plumebrella to the thud, then throw it to the thud to inhale.
A smiley flower was found in a dry pond cave	Thudd domain	Have Thadda breathe in the large pool outside the cave. Go forward to find more water and a smiley flower. Have Thad inhale the last bit of water to reach the area and the Smiley Flower.
Glubit sighed	Thudd domain	Go to the large pool outside the cave. To the left of the pool, there are small rocks with bubbles sticking out. Ground pound the bubbles to reveal a Glubbit, then inhale Thudd.
Eat fossilized fish	Thudd domain	Spit Yoshi to break the rocks at the top-right of Thudd's starting area to reveal small fish fossils. Take the fish fossil to the thud and inhale it.
Many things grow	Thudd domain	Breathe the water into the thud, then spit it out in the grassy area to the left of the large pool.
sighed Bunchby	Thudd domain	Bowser Jr. After freeing him, go to the right side of the stage. In the top-right, you'll see bees and some bunchbees. Hide the Bunchbee near the thud, then make it breathe.
sighed Golden Springhopper	Thudd domain	Bowser Jr. After freeing it, continue right until you see a boulder on the ground. Spit Yoshi on the boulder to break it and reveal Springhoppers
Kamek also tried to eat	Thudd domain	Bowser Jr. Progress through the stage until you see Kamek flying around while trapped. Approach Kamek to breathe a sigh of relief. You must do this before saving Bowser Jr.
Every crazy daisy turned into grass	Thudd domain	Make sure that all the water is not absorbed during the cooling phase. Break everything around Bowser Jr to make way for Thdd. Once you reach the three crazy daisies, have Thad breathe some water. At the end of the stage return to the three planted Crazee DayzeeThen spit water on Yoshi to turn them all into grass.
Hidden smiley flower found	Thudd domain	Bowser Jr. After freeing him, go to the right side of the stage. Spit Yoshi to the top-right area with the bee to reach the Smiley Flower.
